Isla Vista: We Remember Them

On May 24,2014 a tragedy occurred; 6 students were killed on that fateful night. The coming together of a community is powerful. Many students came together in groups to support each other. What is over looked is when they come together in another form. That form is in writing. It gives you a sense of that person being here. It’s a form of . It memorializes and externalizes the grieving process as a physical memorial. Which means you do not have to be there physically in order to come together in a supportive way.
